David Evans, 93, of Turnersville, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2022.
David is survived by Carol, his wife of 43 years, his children Nancy Elaine Rodriguez (Victor), Mark Alan Evans (Anna), Kimberly Sue Scott (Jim), Sharon Lamoreau Ardehali (Ali), and Christina Marie Jones (David), his stepdaughters Jane Niziol, Susan Apostle (Nick), and Anne Blair (Mark), 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, with 2 more on the way.
This beloved husband, father, granddad, and great grandpa was a survivor of the Great Depression and decorated with the Silver Star and Purple Heart for his service in the Korean War. He spent much of his career working as a financial analyst with Honeywell before retiring after 14 years with the US Post Office. He was an avid bowler and golfer with a quick wit and warm smile. He loved science fiction, candy, and ice cream, being known for sneaking sweet snacks whenever he could.
He will be sorely missed. God bless him.
Family and friends are invited to his visitation Friday 10:00 am- 11:00 am at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral Service 11:00 am. Inurnment Gloucester County Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory may be made to Samaritan Hospice, Samaritan Gift Processing Center, PO Box 71425, Philadelphia, PA 19176-1425.
