Cornelia “Connie” J. Rubcich

(nee Pichler), on July 6, 2023. Age 94. Beloved wife of the late Matthew Rubcich. Loving mother of Maria Birch (Todd). Matthew E. Rubcich, III (Donna (nee Schlue)), Melanie Belko (Stephen), Marc Rubcich (Deidre (nee Doyle) and Dr. Michael Rubcich (Dr. Ana Rubcich (nee Cafengiu)). Devoted grandmother of Taryn Birch (Ryan Link), Trevor Birch (Bianca (nee Berges)), Matthew E. Rubcich, IV (Jessica Foose), Christine Rubcich (Nick Moore), Patricia Rubcich, Hailey Rubcich, S. Jackson Belko (Gabrielle Mason), Anna Belko (Nico Bazan), Kaitlyn Rubcich, Jacob Rubcich, Sofia Rubcich, Sam Rubcich, and the late Tanner Birch. Cherished great-grandmother of Oliver Moore, Miles Bazan and Logan Moore.

Connie, Mom, Grandmom Purple – she was kindness itself and loved by all. Born in Canton, Ohio, raised in Ilaca, Croatia the only child of a gentleman farmer. Her family returned to the states in time for her to graduate from High School in Pittsburgh, PA and move on to become a secretary for the Croatian Fraternal Union. She later married Matt and became a loving & caring mother to their five children. Moving from Richmond, Virginia they finally settled in the Whitman Square section of Turnersville, New Jersey.

Connie enjoyed life – playing tennis, bowling, playing Pokeno, traveling with friends and always reading her books. She worked in her yard everyday. She loved to talk to people and listened with care. You knew you were loved and appreciated if Connie gifted you with some of her well known baked goods.

Family was the most important thing to Connie. She loved family get-togethers and spending time with everyone, especially her 13 grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and always in our hearts.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family Tuesday July 18^th 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp.
