Constance “Connie” McPhillips
(nee Keane) Age 90. August 27, 2024, of Washington Twp. Beloved wife of the late James. Devoted mother of Connie Cook (Bob), Jim McPhillips (Karen), Marian Helsel (Gregg) and the late Bill McPhillips. Loving grandmother of 16. Proud great-grandmother of 4. Cherished daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (nee Kelly) Keane. Connie was predeceased by her brothers Buck Keane, Bob Keane, and Mike Keane and her sister Marion Taggart.
Connie enjoyed being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was always her priority in her life.
Connie was born and raised in Philadelphia. She was a proud graduate of Immaculate Heart Academy, and Immaculata College. In her youth she loved music and dancing. She told stories of meeting people while driving in her convertible.
She was married to her husband Jim for over sixty-two years. They raised their family in Holland, PA.
Connie loved entertaining especially during the holidays. She was a loyal and supportive friend, always there when needed. She was the consummate Mom, Mom Mom, and Great Mom Mom. She gave her family the precious gift of knowing they were unconditionally loved.
Anyone who knew Connie knew she had a strong faith and prayer life. She will forever be in our hearts. Please honor her memory by saying a prayer for her.
Family and friends are welcome to attend her visitation Friday, September 6th 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, 362 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 12:15 pm. Inurnment Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
In honor of Constance’s life, in lieu of flowers or other acts of sympathy, her family would encourage donations be made to SS. Peter & Paul Church, P.O. Box 1022, Turnersville, NJ 08012.
