Concetta Sangiuliano
(nee Ferri) on April 22, 2017 of Washington Twp. Age 73. Beloved wife of Bruno. Devoted mother of Rosemarie Sereni and Anthony Sangiuliano. Loving grandmother of Gianna, Maria and Damian. Dear sister of the late Domenic, Gregorio and Maria DeMarco.
Concetta Ferri was born August 6, 1943, in Santa Catherina, a small town in Southern Italy. Concetta was the youngest of five children. She moved to America in December 1961, when she was 18 years old, where she made a home in Philadelphia, PA with her mother and brother. On September 28, 1963, Concetta Ferri became Concetta Sangiuliano when she married her sweet heart, Bruno Sangiuliano. After settling down with her new husband, she made a living working as a seamstress. She was an extraordinary mother to one daughter and one son, Rosemarie and Anthony, and an even more extraordinary grandmother to two granddaughters and one grandson, Gianna, Maria and Damian. In 2004, Concetta and Bruno moved to Washington Township, NJ where she enjoyed the remainder of her time in a new retirement neighborhood close to her family until her passing on April 22, 2017.
Concetta was a kindhearted, loving woman who would do anything she could for anyone who needed her. She had a heart of gold. She was a wonderful seamstress who loved making her own clothing and even went on to sew and alter clothing for the neighbors. She was a wonderful cook, who was the happiest in the kitchen. Her home cooking will surely be missed. She was a wonderful listener, gave great advice, and always looked on the bright side of any situation. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren more than anything in the world. She will surely be missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday 9:30-11:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:15 AM. Entombment, New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Concetta’s memory may be made to the ASPCA, 424 E. 92nd St., Manhattan, New York City, 10128.
