To the Johnson family,I send my condolences to you on the loss of Chris here.He and I along with Kyle Simmons were in 6th grade together attending Oak Valley School in Deptford Twp,NJ back then and Kyle gave me the news here on Chris' death this week,my other friend and former classmate Joann Pantalone Heckman found his obit here for me as well.I knew Chris briefly during my days in the Valley,I went to school with him and hung at his old house a couple of times too as I recall,I think Chris lived on Cedarcrest Ave.I lived on Muhlenberg near the firehouse.I was proud to have known him,he was great and in his adulthood he did even greater from what I read here,Chris which I didn't know was born the day after me back in 1967.Lord of mercy on Chris' soul, may he forever rest in peace.--- http://www.facebook.com/johnjreilly2nd/ I have a pic of Chris in an old class pic of mine, you are more than welcomed to have a copy Take care. My greatest memories of Chris is all the fun we had at work. I had the joy of working with him for many many years. We would go to dinner to andys on our late nights every week back in our bellmawr days. He loved his family so much. He would talk about them all the time. I just saw him two weeks ago at home depot. We had planned to go to lunch. Life is to short! He will be gretaly missed by everyone. My thoughts and prayers are with karen and the kids.

Kyle left a message on April 20, 2011:
A tremendous loss of such a wonderful husband, father, son and dear friend...... Having been one of the fortunate people to know Chris since elementary school, I remember quite a few things about the early years - not the least of which was that he was well liked by everyone - no exceptions. I especially remember his contagious laugh - even as far back as first grade. He was one of those kids that made you smile - not only for his sense of humor, but because he was a happy kid and just fun to be around. We played a lot of basketball he had an uncanny ability to score from pretty far out. But for sports, Chris was best known for his hockey skills. Even as a young kid, he had a wicked slap shot and was a lot quicker than you would have guessed. He also knew very well how to squeeze you into the boards. If not for this reason alone, it was very good to be his friend and teammate. I remember swinging by Chris' house as a kid fairly often. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson were great - always welcoming, always kind. It was easy to see where Chris got it from. I especially remember the holidays: Being a non-Italian, we always had the traditional turkey or ham holiday meal. At Mrs. Johnson's house, it was Italian meatballs and pasta. I can't believe I remember that. It was just foreign to a non-Italian like myself and is very likely the reason I like Italian food so much today. I shared a lot of classes with Chris - from Oak Valley Elementary, to Monongahela Middle School and on through Deptford High. The most memorable, was 6th grade - Mr. Ingram's class. Not sure why. Maybe because it was still carefree.....the calm before the storm of middle school. But what I remember most was that Chris remained a great friend throughout it all and well beyond school for that matter. I owe a debt of gratitude to John and Josephine for making it possible to have known Chris all these years. I am equally indebted to Karen, Tyler and Haley for their unconditional love for such a great guy. Chris was truly fortunate.

To My Best Friend and Soul-mate: Chris I am at such a loss and am finding it hard to make it through each day. My heart is broken. I try to tell the kids that we will make it through this tragedy. It is so hard because you were the kids best friend also. We did everything together. I thought that this day would come when we were well into our 80's, but it was not meant to be that way. The hardest parts are not hearing your voice, meeting me for lunch everyday and just being there for me and the kids. You were loved by so many people, not just your family. We have been blessed by many caring family and friends. Everyone wants to do so much for me and the kids and I appreciate it more than they will ever know. I know that we will meet again someday. I have enjoyed our 18 years together this month. I love you with all of my heart and I will always love you. Forever yours
