Christopher Charles Jerbasi, a lifetime resident of Malaga, Franklin Township, NJ, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016. Chris was born on January 27, 1982 in Marlton, NJ. Chris leaves behind his parents John M. and Barbara A. Jerbasi, a sister Angelina Jerbasi of New York City, and two brothers, John Jerbasi Jr of Philadelphia and Anthony (Jacqueline) Jerbasi of Upper Pittsgrove. He also leaves behind a beautiful family of Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He was very fortunate to have a great many friends survive him.
Chris loved all animals and had many varied and interesting pets in his life. He also enjoyed playing soccer, and he was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Flyers. His passion though was collecting a vast assortment of Legos. His life was filled with Lego mugs, watches, toys and other gizmos and many called him the “Lego man”.
Chris was a caring and compassionate man who put family and family life above all else. The love of his family ran deep to his soul and there is nothing he wouldn’t do to provide help and assistance for them and to ensure their happiness. If a man’s success in life is measured by the quantity and quality of his friendships, Chris’ life was an overwhelming victory. His friends ranged from those from his childhood, to those more recently made in the various stages of his life.
Chris was the kind of guy that people gravitated towards and he made everyone he met feel special. Few walked away from first meeting him not feeling as though they made a friend.
Chris wore many hats throughout his short life. In addition to his most current position at the Burberry distribution center, he worked at the Philadelphia Navy Yard as an apprentice pipe fitter, was a long time Piercing specialist at A1 Tattoo, and additionally worked as a cook at Marciano’s Restaurant in Vineland, NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service Saturday March 19, 2016. Greeting will be from 12 noon until 1 PM. Service will begin at 1 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. In lieu of flowers, donations in Chris’ memory may be made to the Prodigal House 176 Stagecoach Rd., Sicklerville, NJ 08081. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.egizifuneral.com.
