Christine L. Washkevich
On April 16, 2020 of Washington Twp, Chris joined her husband, Robert Washkevich, in heaven. Devoted mother of Alicia Washkevich and her husband Kyle. Loving grandmother of Phoebe.
Christine was born, the eldest of 3 sisters, each 2 years apart and she would always be so very close with them. She graduated from Williamstown High School where she was part of honor society, choir, school plays and cheerleading. She studied home economics and graduated at the top of her class from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University), then later became a teacher at both Washington Township and Glassboro High Schools. Christine also ran a thriving custom design dress and bridal shop in Turnersville, NJ.
Christine was a fun, vibrant, talkative, and loving wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend. She created a Gourmet Club with her friends for the love of cooking and was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, having held several offices for the organization. She loved skiing, fashion, musicals, and travel; and yet most dear to her heart, was her family.
Christine, and her husband Robert, were always present for their daughter’s grade school and high school activities, as well as, Navy swim meets or Glee Club concerts. She hosted hundreds of Midshipmen from the U. S. Naval Academy at their home or at Navy Football tailgaters. Her kindness, upbeat attitude, and unwavering support is remembered by so many across the world.
Considering the current global health crisis and limits on hosting large gatherings; friends and family will be invited to attend a Celebration of Life in the fall.
