Cheryl DeBasio
(nee Calabrese) On October 10, 2024, of Woodbury. Age 69. Devoted mother of Matthew DeBasio (Danielle). Loving grandmother of Adellynn and Matthew, II. Cherished daughter to the late Mario A. and Eleanor M. (nee Courtney) Calabrese. Loving sister of Anthony Calabrese, Diane Agnes (Jay), Linda Kane (Joseph), John Calabrese (Mariana) and the late Patricia Conroy (James). Also loved by many nieces and nephews.
Cheryl aka Mimi most loved spending time with her family, and was especially proud of her two grandchildren, Adellynn & Matthew. Her attention, care, and support for every person she loved was unmatched. She always had a new recipe that she loved to share with her family, especially her world-best chocolate chip cookies. She truly inspired her grandchildren, family, and those closest to her through everything she loved, from cooking to her impeccable taste and knowledge in music.
A phanatic of all Philly sports teams and Penn State football, following her teams faithfully through the bad seasons and celebrating their rare successes.
Dedicated always to her work in the legal profession and to her teammates, she insisted on excellence and made everyone around her strive for the same. An avid bowler who shared her laughter and sense of humor with the many friends she knew over the years. Her impeccable memory made her a champion at trivia games, but also allowed her to carry the very best memories of her life and family with her always- and allowed everyone around her to share in the joy and laughter that she carried.
Cheryl was the very best mother, grandmother, sibling, and friend that anyone could ever ask for that had the privilege of having her in their lives. She will be dearly missed and will remain with all of us forever.
Chery’s life will be honored and remembered privately by her family.
