Cheryl A. Kozej (nee Amanto), on October 12, 2013 of Washington Twp. Age 45. Beloved wife of Matthew. Devoted mother of Caitlin, Meghan, Breanna and Ryan. Loving daughter of Josephine and the late Ronald Amanto. Dear sister of Anthony (Cheryl), Kimberley, Nicholas (Ventress) and the late Debra Amanto. Also survived by her in-laws and several nieces and nephews.
Cheryl grew up in Blackwood, NJ, graduated from Highland High School in 1986 and was a paralegal for the Law Offices of John Morelli, Voorhees, NJ. Cheryl loved spending time with family and friends and was also willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. She loved taking family trips to the shore and watching her kids in their sports and activities. After being diagnosed with melanoma in September 2012, she lost her battle after a tireless and courageous fight surrounded by family and friends. Always able to bring a smile to everyone, Cheryl will be sadly missed by all that knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday 6:00-9:00 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. and Friday 9:30-10:30 am at the Church of the Holy Family 226 Hurffville Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing. In lieu of flowers donations in Cheryl’s memory may be made payable to “FT 529” and mail to: LPL Financial, c/o Kozej Children’s Memorial Fund, 525 Route 73 North, Suite 302, Marlton, NJ 08053. I will miss my dear friend. We had a lifetime of memories to make but were cut short. So I now have our times together to treasure forever! Will miss your smile the voice who would tell me I'm being stupid and the most her hugs!! The girls were glad they were able to see you and give you hugs.. Love you forever!! It was a beautiful day...I passed by the Kozej home and there she was, making sure the outside of her house was perfect. And of course it always was...she would turn and wave, happy as a clam....that's how I will forever remember Cheryl. Happy and Content...Always ready with a smile or a kind word to cheer up your day....She was the definition of a great wife, mother, friend....Cheryl you will forever be missed...your imprint in this world will always be remembered. I am still in disbelief that Cheryl is no loner with us. I am so happy that she is free from any pain or worries of cancer anymore.. But I am missing her so much at this time...too many good times to count because when we together is was always fun. Cheryl I am missing you so much more than I can describe. You are ok now. Some years ago, we were immediately welcomed to the neighborhood by Matt & Cheryl. Raising such beautiful children, we've never met a kinder, happier & caring family. Cheryl was always in a joyful mood & concerned about how your family & friends were doing. During mass intentions the other day, there was some sort of power surge & the lights shined so bright.
