James C. Pearce left a message on December 2, 2021:
I met Charlie in 1995, when I became a menber of the Rotary Club of Wash. Twp. NJ He was the President of the Club at that juncture. Due to my career as a Newspaper Professional, Charlie added Me to his Board of Directors as the Club's PR Chair. From that point forward we became good friends. He was an excellent indivdual, with a warm sense of humor. I can honestly say, that Charlie was one of the finest men, that was my honor to know and call a friend! I looked up to him for guidence on several occasions, through my many years in Rotary, which included becoming the Club's President myself. I was saddened to learn of Charlie's Passing, but know he's at Home with our LORD. May Almighty GOD, Bless and Keep Him Through Eternity and Comfort His Loving Family Accordingly...Amen.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr Van Mater's passing. I remember so many dinners eating at your house as a child and him always razzing me for eating so slow, calling me Bethany! He went out of his way to help Mike when he entered the IT world, always so caring. I also remember taking his class at CCC, boy was that pressure! At 40 years old I felt that I HAD to do well.....this was Mr Van Mater's class after all! He will be missed and you all will be in my thoughts.
