Charles Gutleber

On May 10, 2023, Charles (Charlie/Moose) Gutleber of Washington Twp passed away peacefully at age 77. Beloved husband of the late Ruth L. (nee Trautman). Devoted father of Ronald Gutleber (Barbara) and Chuck Gutleber (Jennifer). Loving pop pop of Gabrielle, Kalle, Allison, Emma, Brennan and Taryn.

Charlie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a proud pop pop to his grandchildren and took great joy in spoiling them and watching them grow.

Charlie was born and raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia and spent his career working at Tastykake, where he developed a reputation as a hard worker and a valued member of the team. He took great pride in his work and was occasionally known for grabbing fresh Kandy Kakes or Butterscotch Krimpets off the bakery belt.

One of Charlie’s favorite pastimes was spending time with his neighbors and hanging out in his driveway at Heatherwood. He was always up for a good chat, and his warm and friendly personality made him a beloved member of the community. He loved nothing more than sharing stories, cracking jokes, and just enjoying the company of those around him.

Charlie’s passing is a great loss to all who knew him. He will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit, his unwavering work ethic, and his love for his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth and friendship that will be felt for years to come.
