"Chuck" Colabrese was an integral part of Washington Township's "Local Emergency Planning Committee" / Office of Emergency Management. He & his fellow HAM Radio experts (volunteers) were needed more than anyone will ever know. God Speed, Chuck.

We first met back in September 1963, two fourteen-year-old freshmen at Father Judge HS. We forged a friendship throughout our years at Judge. You sold me your acoustical guitar in Oct.'63 for ten bucks. It was a really nice instrument. You worked on the stage crew while at Judge and even tried your hand at acting in 'No time for Seargent's'. After graduation in 1967 we went our separate ways. Along with Frank, Jimmy and a few others we found each other again in 2009, this time on FB. We started meeting 3-4 times a year and made it to our 50th reunion. Now it's just me and Frank but we'll always have a seat for you at the table. Thanks for the memories my friend.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

As cousins, Chuck and I only got to see each other the 2 weeks in August every year when his family left Philadelphia and my family left Baltimore to come to Coalton, WV, the home of our grandparents. Later in our adult lives, we would become friends on Facebook to keep in touch. I cherish the last phone call from Chuck. My sincere sympathy for Irma and the family. Chuck was a fine father and husband. Rest in Peace Cousin until we meet again.

I’m so sorry to hear about Chuck. What a great guy he was. He used to be the one person that would show up to help me line soccer fields. I’m sure those of you that knew him would all agree that the measurements had to be perfect. He was a perfectionist. He was also a lifelong friend to me. I’m not able to make the funeral but I hope everyone knows how special he was and that he will be missed. I don’t have a ton of friends but I considered him one. RIP my friend.
