Catherine M. Robinson
(nee O’Brien) passed away peacefully at home on November 27, 2022, two weeks after her 86th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Bill Robinson. Devoted mother of Annmarie Johnston (Edward), David Robinson, Mary Louise Baerg (Kenton), and Billy Robinson. Loving Mom-Mom of Kaitlyn Prentice (Ty), Emmet and Logan Baerg, and Matthew and Andrew Robinson, who all held a precious place in her heart. Catherine was born in Philadelphia, PA, the youngest daughter of John and Kit O’Brien, and was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Jack, Mary, Pete, Jimmy, Joe, Frank, Bob, Tom, and Charles and sisters-in-law Winnie, Anna, Mary, and Jul. She was known as Aunt Kate to 32 nieces and nephews, knew each and every one of their birthdays, and had the privilege to be a great Aunt many times over. Catherine became an avid Phillies fan at a young age, would attend games with her father, brothers, nieces and nephews, and traveled to Cooperstown to see her favorite Phillies inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. She shared her love of baseball with her children, taking them to games throughout the summers, and instilling in them the same wild enthusiasm she never hesitated to show. When Bill and Catherine ran Robert’s Delicatessen, they employed many family members at various times over the years, which always contributed to fun antidotes at family gatherings. Catherine was known as a confidant, friend, and counsel and gave nothing less than unconditional love to all. She was a devout member of St. Charles Borromeo Church, where she prayed, worked, and mentored so many with her selfless acts of kindness. Her years working for St. Jude’s Regional School were some of her fondest memories, where she formed relationships that lasted her lifetime. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Saturday, December 3rd from 8:45 – 10:45 am at St. Charles Borromeo RC Church, 176 Stagecoach Road, Sicklerville, NJ 08081. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Catherine’s memory to Sisters of The Good Shepherd, 190 Maria Hall Drive, Danville, PA 17821.
