I met Catherine Jane Elizabeth Ann Sistek in 2nd grade. We became inseparable (for the most part) best friends and grew up together. We shared time such as family dinners, holidays, violin And viola duets, learning new instruments meeting new best friends (Jim, Joe, Bill) joining swim teams, volley ball teams, getting into mischief, going to parties, proms, class trips, our first concert, etc . From that moment until close to the end of high school I knew and spent time with her family, knew the Knick name her dad had for her, experienced the many sister arguments she had with Jane over clothes etc etc. Unfortunately we lost touch toward the end of high school. I will never forget my best friend. There isn’t a memory growing up I don’t remember her being a part of. Rest In Peace old friend. Colleen

Cathy was one of our very first friends as a young married couple. We had so many wonderful times together at dinners, parties, shows, and on Sanibel. I'm grateful to have known her and enjoyed her buoyant spirit! She will be missed by many.

Cathy had such an admiral passion for yoga that she brought it into everything she did--even skiing! Only Cathy could do a headstand in skis (with a little help from a friend). I will miss her always. I hope she has finally found the pose she was always reaching for.
