My sincere condolences to you and your family. 70 years is our life span. 80 years if one is especially strong says Psalms 90:10. May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of the time you spent together with Catherine as you celebrate a life well lived.

I never visited Aunt Cass in the nursing home. I regret that from my Aunt's perspective, as well as the perspective of my cousins, Carol and Joe. But I don't regret it from my perspective. Alzheimers is a terrible debilitating disease. It sucks the life right out of our loved ones. They become shells of their former selfs. I didn't want to see Aunt Cass that way. And now, I am free to remember Aunt Cass as she would want to be remembered. Aunt Cass was a woman that wasn't afraid to shoot a whiskey or drink a beer. She could hang with the big boys and talk like them, as well. Aunt Cass wasn't afraid to speak her mind. She was always confident and seemed not to care about what other people thought. She was the youngest of the Soldo siblings, yet Aunt Cass was no baby. Aunt Cass's will was strong as evidenced by her 97 years of living. But her heart was even stronger. She was a wife, a mother (figure), a sister, an aunt, a cousin, a Godmother and most importantly, a caretaker. She took care of everyone and always seemed to make things better. It goes without saying that Aunt Cass will be missed, like she has been missed for the last several years. But I am confident she is in a better place now. I can picture her young, beautiful and alive reuniting with her siblings and nephews. Give a kiss to my Dad for me, Aunt Cass. Until we meet again....

Aunt Cass was one of the best! She was a beautiful woman in and out. Growing up I couldn't wait to see her and Uncle Joe. They both always made me feel special. Your going to be missed by all Aunt Cass. Especially by Carol and Joe. Their the most dedicated people I know. They were by your side daily. That's what gives the true meaning of family. I'll keep your memory close in my heart. So one day I'll see you again...... Anna
