Carol Papaleo Cona
On October 6, 2024 of Mt. Ephraim. Age 80. Beloved wife of the late Frank. Devoted mother of John Magri, Dawn Morrison (Kirk), and Frank Magri, and stepmother to Wendy Graziano (Nick), Peter Cona (Joann), and Frank Cona, Jr. (Buffy). Loving grandmother of Blake, Lucia, Francesca (John), Antonia, Alex, Ava, and Christian. Dear sister of the late Joseph Papaleo. Loved by cousins Thea Foglietta-Silverstein, The Foglietta Family, Karen Mazzio, The Mazzio Family, many extended family members, and countless friends.
Carol loved spending time with her family, always wanting to be with her children on their birthdays and holidays. She looked forward to Tuesday adventures with her grandchildren and beach days in Wildwood and Cape May.
She was a kind and gentle soul and exuberated a quiet strength. She welcomed everyone into her home, which led to her cooking for an army. She was famous for her one pot meals, Christmas cookies and her extravagant baking.
Carol was always outside gardening, a pastime she shared with her late husband Frank. They also loved to travel together and took annual vacations to Florida to see cousins Johnny and Claire. They also loved the Cayman Islands and spent 10 years visiting the same condo. They were able to go on their bucket list vacation to Italy and Croatia, before Frank’s health declined.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation Friday, October 11th 9:30 – 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, 176 Stagecoach Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
