Carmen F. Iacovone, on August 2, 2022, of Blackwood. Age 86. Loving father of Kim Iacovone (Gary DeSclafani), Tammy Lynn (the late Edward) and Steven Craig Iacovone (Raquel). Dear grandfather of Patrick Lynn (Sarah), Katie Lynn, Carl Dominic Garcia and Chelsea Garcia.
Carmen was born in Gloucester Township, NJ. He was raised by his loving parents, John and Mildred, who just adored him.
He was a fun, loving father with a great sense of humor to his three children. He loved to joke and was always playing games with them. His laugh was contagious, and there was always a smile on his face. He was their hero. His grandchildren will always remember him as their “Pop Pop with one hand” that taught them to play many mindless games and was always fun to be around.
Carmen was an avid athlete that excelled in anything that he put his mind to. He played baseball, basketball, golf, was known for his gaudy collection of bowling trophies, and was a mentor to many of the kids on Cecelia Drive. He will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Mass Friday, September 30th at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Hope Parish – St. Agnes Church, 701 Little Gloucester Rd., Blackwood.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Carmen’s memory may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675 or by clicking on the link.
