On March 5, 2014, of Turnersville, formerly of Grays Ferry. Age 84. Beloved son of the late August C. and Margaret E. (nee Heckert) Procknow. Dear brother of Margaret Pasquale, Doris Casteel and Jan Giardinelli (James) with whom he resided. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

Carl was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a bartender. He enjoyed horse races, lottery and crossword puzzles in his retirement. Carl was always a gentleman and took an interest in all current events, as well as maintaining a love for local history. He had many friends and enjoyed an active social life until he succumbed to his illness.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday 9–11 am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral Service 11 am. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Carl’s memory may be made to Veterans Helping Veterans, P.O. Box 337, Woodbury, NJ 08096. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.egizifuneral.com

Wow, it just seems like yesterday we were all on Patton St.. Even though I was a little girl I have fond memories of the Procknow family and how you all took care of me when Pop would bring me down the shore and all you girls had to take care of me. You made me feel so at home and part of the family. Carl came to Uncles funeral 7 years ago and was so surprised that all of us remembered your family. Uncle, Grams and Pop would always take us to visit your Mom. If your wondering who I am, I'm Jackie Meighan. Emily Dietrich's daughter, Dutch and Sara Dietrich's granddaughter.
