Bernadette A. Stallings
(nee Renz) On January 27, 2019 of Washington Twp. Age 76. Beloved wife of the late George J. Devoted mother of Bernadette Shanahan (George), George (Laura), Theresa Walton (Stephan), Anne Bexon (Sam), Christina, and Shirin Stallings. Loving grandmother of Rebecca, Kevin, Mariah, Pierson, Finnian, Liam, Jessica, Aiden, Caitie and Sam. Dear sister-in-law of Peggy Renz, Joseph, and Susan Stallings.
Bernadette Stallings was more than a devoted wife, mother and caregiver! She was a loving, warm and loyal person. She was a faith filled loving person who enjoyed her children, grandchildren, animals, traveling, flowers and music.
Growing up she wanted to be a nurse, but began working as a legal secretary and then met and married her husband George. Over their 46 years of their marriage they had many great adventures. The biggest of those adventures (and their greatest blessing) was raising their six children.
Faith & Family were important to Bernadette. She was raised in the Catholic faith and she made sure to instill those morals and values into her family.
And while Bernadette loved her children, her pride and joy were her 10 grandchildren. She loved talking to them and even Facetiming them. She never forgot a birthday and loved buying gifts for them.
Bernadette loved to travel – even overcoming her fear of flying to travel to Hawaii in 2015. Bernadette and George traveled all over the country in their pickup truck and camper. She and George would pack up the kids and take off in the middle of the night to see the country.
She was generous to a fault – always searching out those in need – money, groceries, a place to stay – nothing was too much for her. She never told anyone all of the things she did for others.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Friday 7:00-9:00 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 10:30 am at Our Lady of Hope Parish/St. Agnes RC Church, 701 Little Gloucester Rd., Blackwood. Interment, Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
Donations in Bernadette’s memory may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 550 Mickle Blvd., Camden, NJ 08103 or Our Lady of Hope Grotto, 701 Little Gloucester Rd., Blackwood, NJ 08012.
