Sally Schulte left a message on July 13, 2016:
Barbara and I met in 1976 at GCC . We were both going through some personal issues and became friends right away. We had so much in common and through the years we shared laughs and tears. We took a few trips together. Our first trip to MA was with a friend of mine. We had such a good time especially when the hotel in Boston tried to charge us a huge amount of money to park. The guy gave us our keys and we drove away without paying. We laughed so hard that we cried. Then Barb and I took a trip to CA . It was a last minute decision to go and we once again had a blast. She would not drive or pump gas, so I had the duty. We went to Monterrey via the Pacific Coast Hwy. Barbara would not look out the window to see the ocean, she was petrified. She loved Clint Eastwood. We found out what restaurant he went to often and sure enough he walked in while we were eating. Barbara had her back to the front door and I was afraid to tell her he was here until we were leaving. She stared at him through the front door for the longest time. I think they thought we were stalkers. Barbara loved her children and grand kids more that anyone I know. They were her world. And her kids loved her right back. Barbara was a great nurse who gave her patients all the compassion and the best nursing care. Being a nurse was her calling. I hope we will meet up again on the other side one day. I miss and love you Barbara. Put a good word in for us up there! Sally
