Arthur E. “Ed” Ferren

On February 8, 2010, of Washington Twp. Age 62. Beloved husband of 42 years to Joyce nee Eskridge. Devoted father of Arthur E. Ferren, Jr. Cortlynn and Melissa Wicken Scott. Loving grandfather of Amanda, Justin and the soon-to-arrive Isabella. Dear brother of Ronald Dae Sandy, David Ferren and Sharon Austin. Loving brother-in-law of Bill Edwards, Jean Edwards and David and Ileen Eskridge. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Ed retired from UPS after 31 years of service. He was a veteran of the US Army and an avid Phillies fan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Thursday eve 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 11:00 am at SS Peter and Paul RC Church, 362 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Entombment private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed’s memory may be made to the American Heart Assn., 1 Union St., #301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183.

Dear Mrs. Joyce Ferren. I am a VFW Aux. Member, and Bartender. Jonh Barton, gave me the devastating news, of our dear friend. I will miss both of you, he would bring pictures of you, his storys, about you, your children and your dogs. Your dolls, and cookies, he would brag about your cooking. Our family just won't be the same without Uncle Ed's laughter. He was definitely the life of the party!! LOL He lived a happy life and that is what matters most. We have shared so many great times with Uncle Ed. We look forward to every holiday and special occassion when our families get together. It didn't matter whose house we gathered at, Uncle Ed was always in the Kitchen, leaning on the counter smiling and laughing. Not an enemy in the world, we will miss him dearly. We will keep Ed's smile, infectious laugh, and all around good nature with us forever. We love you and miss you.

Mrs. Ferren, Eddie, Missy and the rest of the family- Thoughts of Mr. Ferren bring back such fond childhood memories with his constant joking and infectious laugh. Our hope is that we can make our home as warm and welcoming to my girls' friends as Mr. and Mrs. Ferren made their home to me. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Words cannot express the heartbreak and sadness in loosing Ed. Life will never be the same without Ed's presence. I will always cherish the precious memories of family gatherings, happy times, and the joy of life with Ed in it. Ed will always be a beloved family member. Love, Jeanne

My prayers are with all of you, Sharon, Dave, Ronnie, Joyce and all of Eddie's children and loved ones as you make your way through the hurt and sadness. Losing our loved ones is the hardest hurt and as time continues their memory is what we hold on to. I grew up with Eddie and all the Ferren's we live one house apart in Bellmawr, Sharon was my best friend, we listened to records in the basement and would shoot pool of course having the brothers always trying to tell us how to shoot. I called their mom Aunt Helen and Uncle Dave. My mom and their mom were best friends until they moved after their mom died in the car accident. Sorry I was not there to say goodbye and share the memories as there were many good ones. I remember when Eddie and Joyce got married.
