On August 8, 2010, of Washington Twp. Age 60. Beloved daughter of Monica S. nee Kocinski and the late Henry S. Letki. Dear sister of Alan G. Letki. Loving aunt of Jennifer Letki Dittforth, Rebecca Letki and Daniel Letki, and great-aunt of Leon Dittforth.

Arleen was a devoted educator who was committed to kids and faculty. She began her teaching career with the South Jersey Catholic school system. She was one of the Assistant Principals at Washington Twp. High School and later the Assistant Principal at Chestnut Ridge Middle School. She was also the Lead Principal and Coordinator of the Washington Twp. Alternative School. Arlene traveled to China, Russia and South Africa to promote professional development in schools. She has left an indelible imprint on the lives of all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday eve 7:00 – 9:00 pm and Friday 8:15 – 9:15 am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am at SS Peter & Paul RC Church, Washington Twp. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arleen Letki Scholarship Foundation Fund, c/o Chestnut Ridge Middle School, 641 Hurffville-Cross Keys Rd., Sewell, NJ 08080.

Arleen was a kind and generous soul. She was supportive of her teachers and enthusiastic about learning. I am lucky to have had the privilege of working with her at CMRS.

Arleen will be remembered for her professionalism and dedicated nature. She always had time to give you a smile and a quick Hello. So sorry to hear of her passing. She is in a much better place now. RIP Arleen.

Arleen will be remembered for the care and concern she had for her students and colleagues, as well as her intelligence and quiet sense of humor. We will miss her.

Arleen, you were a truly dedicated person who cared so much about each and every one of your students as well as your staff. May you rest in peace. You will be missed.

So many staff members in Washington Township have been enriched by Arleen's workshops. She leaves a legacy of a love for learning. Her genuine caring for all students remains an inspiration for every educator. May God bless Arleen's family, friends and colleagues with His Peace.

My heart aches having lost a dear friend in Arleen. Her gentle friendly smile brightened my days as a teacher. A real professional, A true friend. I will miss you Arleen. Jim

I taught with Arleen at Saint Rose in Haddon Heights.She was a total professional. She will be surely missed.

Ms. Letki was a grade school teacher of mine at St. Rose of Lima in Haddon Heights. She will be remembered as a truely patient and kind person. She was an absolutely wonderful role model to young women and an excellent instructor to all.

As I sit here with a cup of tea in hand I salute you Ms. Letki for your love, dedication, and compassion. Your colleagues and students will miss the personal touch of a truly wonderful woman. You will be deeply missed.

Ms Arleen Letki was one of the principals who gave great input into me being hired. When she was in the HS--she was always an encouragement and was a joy to be around. I missed her when she left the high school...Now she will really be missed, however her legacy and love for education will never go away, but continue from one generation to the next. Sorry for your loss, but heaven has gained an amazing soul, and you will see her again as I look forward to seeing her and many of my relatives as well. In Christ Greg Janicki

Arleen's office door was always open to anyone at Chestnut Ridge Middle School. She was a good listener and was always ready to make you a cup of tea. I feel fortunate to have worked with such an excellent role model in the field of education. She will be missed.

Arleen was an amazing person and role model for me as an educator. She always pushed you to give 110%. I will miss that beautiful smile :O

I knew Arleen from WTHS and was impressed by her kindness. Arleen had a special place in her heart for children, and she was an educator who always put the students first. My deepest sympathy to her family. You have lost a very dear person.

I worked w/her at CRMS and when I got sick she was very supportive. She loved all the kids and always had time for them.

Ms. Letki taught us in grade school at St. Rose. What is most memorable about Ms. Letki is her pleasant nature and infinite patience with everyone. I remember her teaching us songs for our graduation ceremony. I'll also always remember that at a time when things were so uncertain in our young lives, one constant was that Ms. Letki was always our biggest fan.

Ms Letki was the assistant principal at my school and always had kind words for me. She was an educator for the right reason. She will be missed...

Arleen was kind and gracious, she was professional and caring. I looked up to her and have missed her in the high school. She will continue to be missed and always be dear to me.

My thoughts and prayers for Ms Letki and her family. I was part of her 1st class at St Rose and she certainly made a difference in my life. I believe her guidance and strong will was much needed. I always remember the beautiful banners she created for the Church. Her artistic ability and love for God was always evident. I believe they are still displayed after thirty-five years! God Bless.

Arleen was a kind friend and excellent mentor to me in my early years of teaching. I will always love and remember her.

Arleen will be missed by many. I always had a deep respect for her as a truly devoted educator and mentor. She touched so many lives. May she rest in peace.

I came back to school yesterday and each time I walked passed Arleen's office door I fully expected to see her . I find myself wanting to ask her for some advice or just to say hi. I regret not having more time to talk with her. She has influenced my life and for that I am truly grateful. She was an Arts advocate who really understood people and how they clicked. Because of her teaching I understand people better. Thanks Arleen.

We will miss Arleen with her energy and willingness to help everyone. She had taken care of her Mother all these years, continued to work in education and finally reaching retirement without the opportunity to fully enjoy. We have to believe that God needed her somewhere else.
