Leslie left a message on June 23, 2023:
Miss April, You were truly family and I will miss everything about you. You are a familiar and loving mama bear that would lovingly yell at me like you would your own kids ( get off the lawn Leslie!, you worry too much Les!) I don’t even know how many times I slept over, knocked on the door, got the hilarious “ congratulations, someone gave you the correct phone number” voicemail, it’s all a part of my childhood and ingrained into my memories. You were there for me when I was happy, sad, lonely, scared, excited, bratty, all of it. Harrah was and is my sister, partner in crime, adventurer and none of that was possible without you, her amazing mom allowing me to be a part of the family. It feels like yesterday, swimming in the pool, jumping on the trampoline, playing sonic the hedgehog and hearing you yell for Harrah “(Bubba! Lol)” down the street. You were and are truly one of a kind,I always admired your amazing attitude and bad assery while also being a true woman of faith and a Christian who loves Jesus. Your nail polish collection couldn’t be beat, I didn’t even know they made that many colors. You had a water bed before I even knew they existed and were cool ( I later begged for my own water bed, my mom said no hahah) You gave me the coolest hair styles and treated me as if I was your second daughter. I always thought how brave you were doing everything you could and pushing yourself for Harrah and Brandon, even when times weren’t easy. You were and are truly an example of an amazing, fierce woman and I am so lucky that you were more than just my neighbor and best friend’s mom, you were my family. My mom and I love you forever and you will truly be missed.
