Antonino Sparacio
On September 18, 2024, Antonino Sparacio, at the age of 61, passed away surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Carini, Italy, Antonino maintained a strong connection to his home country and practiced the family first morals that he was raised on. Holding to these values, Antonino will be remembered for his boundless kindness and unwavering strength.
With his spontaneous sense of humor, positive attitude, and ability to crack jokes, Antonino had an extraordinary ability to make those around him laugh, brightening even the toughest days. His loving spirit and steadfast support touched everyone he met as he strove to be a friend to all.
Known to many for his former role in the family business at Sal’s Pizza and Pasta Pomodoro in Washington Township, his commitment to excellence could be seen any day as he cooked, spun pizzas, and bonded with staff members, creating a warm and welcoming environment for all. His famous dishes at Sunday dinners helped bring family and friends together, filling hearts and bellies with warmth and joy.
A lover of all things mechanical, Antonino was the family handy-man and mechanic. In his spare time, he was most often found performing car and motorcycle maintenance, making home renovations, or searching through his seemingly endless collection of tools and parts. He took pride in his accomplishments and will be remembered for not only his resourcefulness but also his passion for creating and improving his home with his own hands.
He is survived by his wife Maria (nee Gulino), children Claudia, Pietro, Antonio and Marco Sparacio, siblings Rosalia (Vito) Picciurro, Giovanni (Antonella), Cirillo Sparacio (Loredana) and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Pietro and Rosalia (Mannino) Sparacio, and brother Vito Sparacio.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday, September 25, 8:15am – 10:15am at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at the Church of the Holy Family, Washington Twp.
Entombment will be at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
In honor of Antonino’s life, in lieu of flowers or other acts of sympathy, his family would encourage any donations be made to the American Kidney Fund.
