We were more that friends. We were and always will be family........Norma and Tony Iatarola
Anthony encompassed all the good qualities anyone could ask for in a good neighbor. He was kind, friendly and always willing to help. He made our children laugh, and his smile was infectious.
"Mr. Grassi," as he's known in our house, the Alkins family will remember you always.
Aunt Agnes, Dana & Jason.. I am so very sorry for your loss. Uncle Anthony will always be in my heart and my memories. I can't begin to think about what life will be like without him. He and I did so many things together. We built my pool house, we built my Tutoring Club interior, he taught me how to steer and care for my boat, he taught me how to sheet rock, how to wire an electrical box, how to hang a light and and a fan and how to use a table saw. He was always my go-to guy when I was in a bind. He came to my house on Thanksgiving morning to clear a clog in my kitchen sink. He was a second father to me and I will never forget him. My heart breaks knowing that I will never get to talk to him again. God has a great new addition to Heaven. God speed- Steve
Mrs Grassi, Dana and Jason,
We were so sorry to hear of Mr Grassi's passing. So many wonderful memories of him while growing up on School House Lane. I was so looking forward to talking with him on NYE and hearing some of the old stories, in the way in which he can only tell. His sense of humor and story telling was second to none.
May God bless you all and get you through this most difficult time.
Love,
Glen and Linda Rueblinger and boys
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
To the Grassi Family I express my sincere condolences over the lose of your loved one. At this difficult time no words may not be able to ease the pain of losing a loved one. May you though find some comfort in the Bible promise at Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces." What a wonderful promise for you and your family to look forward to by means of God's kingdom.
The Rueblingers have many happy memories shared with Agnes and Anthony over the past 40-some years as neighbors on School House Lane.
Anthony was always there for us….I will never forget when he, along with Ray Alkins and Ron Fanelli, poured a concrete patio for us in our backyard on what was one of the hottest days in the summer.
In later years, he would come to my son and daughter-in-law’s New Year’s eve parties. He and Ron Fanelli would tell stories of the past. One story involved a New Year’s Eve party at his house where Gene, Anthony and a few others were celebrating the New Year with “tequila shots”. The following day it snowed and the guys decided to go sledding. They stopped by for Gene who was sick and I told Anthony he had a virus. Anthony laughed and from then on, he would tell the “tequila virus” story. My kids, grandkids, and their friends loved these stories and this year he was sorely missed. He was one of the “best”….they just don’t make them like that anymore.
With our deepest condolences and love,
Lynn Rueblinger and family
Dana, I'm so sorry for the passing of your father, I have so many memories of him as my coach, what a great coach he was, so many fun times with him and Mr. Eastwick riding in the van and his bronco, those were the days, your father was one of the best when it came to dealing with us girls back then, I look at him as one of my coaches who made me the athlete that I was, you and your family will be in my prayers..
Dana and family I am very sorry to hear this sad news about your dad. He was a great man and I have very fond memories of him as my coach for travel softball. We would all pile in the Bronco and he would drive us all to the away games. He was very funny and always put a smile on my face. Thoughts and prayers to your family during this difficult time. May he rest in peace. Laura Kelly and Family
Love, thoughts and prayers going out to your family, Agnes, Dana and Jason. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Mr. Grassi could absolutely light up a room. He coached my brother and my sister along side my mother back in the day. Many parties at each of our houses. How many pounds of fish he would put in our freezer for our mother. Together they are laughing giving some umpire shit in heaven. I loved hearing him tell stories about how my mother would argue with the umpires. Anyway my heart felt condolences to the Grassi family.
Tony and I graduated from Bishop Neumann HS in 1959 but, I first met Tony when he coached softball with my wife, Mary Ann. Mary Ann thought the world of Tony which fostered a long friendship between the families. With his easy going manner and penchant for helping, Tony was always there to lend a helping hand or much needed advice.
I will never forget the fun we had coaching Jason and Mark. What a joy, such pleasure to be with him. Later, Tony volunteered to help with Drew’s eight year old league. It was Tony’s idea to have the coach pitch to the little guys and it caught on.
Anne and I were always welcomed to be with Agnes and her beloved Anthony, partners for life. Anne and I fondly remember the cook-outs on School House Lane and many MoBays on the boat in Sommers Point.
Tony may be gone from this life but as long as we keep him in our thoughts and prayers, his smile and infectious laugh will always be with us.
Agnes, our sincere condolences to you and your family on the passing of your soulmate Anthony. May his soul and the souls of his precious- departed rest in Peace.
With profound sadness, Anne and John Colligan.
Please accept our deepest condolences for your family's loss.
