On September 10, 2014 of Washington Twp. Age 71. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Napolitano). Devoted father of Anthony Trombetta, Jr., Alisa Trombetta-Johnson (Ethan) and Amanda Fanelli (Brian). Loving grandfather of Nicolette, Anthony III, Tiffany, Ariona, Anthony, Ava Élan, Alec, Enzo and Roman.
Dear brother of Raymond, Louis, Barbara, Alexander, Robert and the late Rita, John, Anna May, William and Richard.

Anthony “Tony” Trombetta departed this world on September 10, 2014. Tony was fun loving, an independent thinker, a giving and caring person, a shrewd business man and, above all else, a dedicated family man. Born in Philadelphia to Pellegrino and Rose Trombetta, on July 11, 1943, he was one of eleven children. As a young man, Tony’s interests included sports and music, particularly singing. Tony sang lead on “Let it Please Be You” and many other songs during his time as “Rick” of Rick and the Masters. Although Tony’s singing career was short lived, his love of music continued for decades, as he could often be heard delivering a serenade.
In 1963, Tony married the love of his life, Dorothy. Together they had three children, Anthony Jr., Alisa and Amanda. Tony worked tirelessly to provide for his family, raise his children right, instill character and love them endlessly. He was a devoted husband and loving father. Tony’s love grew as did his family. Tony loved being a grandparent to his nine grandchildren: Nicolette, Ariona, Anthony, Anthony III, Tiffany, Alec, Enzo, Roman and Ava. Tony was at every recital, concert, wrestling match, baseball game, hockey game and soccer match; cheering in the stands as a proud Pop.
Tony was a strong willed and opinionated man. Whether discussing politics, current affairs or the state of the Phillies, Tony always made it clear how he felt. Right, wrong or indifferent, Tony always did things his way. He was a dynamic man with many passions, a zest for life and an eternal love for his family.
Tony will be sorely missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Sunday 7:00-9:00 pm and Monday 10:15-11:15 am at the Egizi Funeral Home 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 pm at the Church of the Holy Family, Washington Twp. Entombment, St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing.
