Anthony R. DeVirgiliis, on June 7, 2020, of Gloucester Twp. Age 73. Beloved husband of Donata DeVirgiliis (nee Juliano). Loving father of Michelle Tamburro and her husband Jason. Cherished grandfather of Mia and Juliette. Dear brother of Rosario “Ro” Putz (James). Devoted uncle of Jimmy (Kari), Jennifer, Philip (Meagan), Kristina and Megan (Jason) and great-uncle of Austin, Aaron, Jessica, Maisie and Philip. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Joan Juliano (the late Carmen); brother-in-law, Philip Juliano (Rose), many cousins and countless friends.
Anthony was born to Mario and Florence DeVirgilis on May 26, 1947. He married Donata in 1971. He was originally from South Philadelphia they moved to Washington Twp. In 1978 where they raised their daughter until moving to Gloucester Twp. In 2008. Anthony was an avid model railroader, with a preference of Lionel trains. He loved reading, especially Tom Clancy books and the daily newspaper. He enjoyed watching Laurel & Hardy and history TV shows. He had a Bachelor of Science in Business Admin as well as a Masters of the same. Before caring for his beloved wife with MS, they enjoyed traveling. He enjoyed summers in Ocean City with family up until the early 80’s. But what he treasured most was his time with his twin granddaughters. He loved being their “Silly Pop Pop”. He took great pride in watching them dance, figure skate, play soccer and succeed in their school work.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family Friday, July 24th, 9:30 – 11:30 am at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Memorial Mass Friday 12:00 pm at SS Peter & Paul RC Church, 12:00 pm.
