On October 2, 2014 of Woodbury. Age 91. Devoted mother of Anthony L. Loving grandmother of Anne-Marie and Malinda. Proud-great-grandmother of Grant, Chase and Hunter. Dear sister of Anthony Gattuso, Sr. and Micuza Genovese.

Anna was born November 9, 1922 in Calabria, Italy. She came to America with her son Anthony when he was 10 years old. She worked in a factory and raised her son alone. At a young age she broke her back and was no longer able to work. Her son Anthony cared for her for decades and moved her with him when her retired from the police force after 32 years to Florida. He continued to take amazing care of her until he had a motor vehicle accident in 2011 that has left him incapacitated.
Since that time, her granddaughter, Anne-Marie Tucker had moved her grandmother to Jacksonville and has cared for her there near her family.
She had a long life, although the last few months she was in a great deal of pain from her COPD and died with her granddaughter holding her hand.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Monday 9:30-10:30 am at St. John the Evangelist RC Church 647 Beacon Ave., Paulsboro. Mass of Christian Burial 10:45 am. Entombment, Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.egizifuneral.com

Thank you to all who loved her.....she had a long, but not easy life and I will miss her terribly. She loved her son and after his accident, never seemed the same. She told me before she passed.... I love you, I loved you evern since you were little. I love you grandmom rest in peace now

Our family is so glad we volunteered to "drive a Senior to Mass" or else we would have never met Anna and her lovely family. It is our pleasure to have known her all these years. She adopted us as a surrogate "Grandmom" and treated us as such. She is with David now keeping each other company.
