Anna M. Leon

(nee Rubio) On February 1, 2022 of Washington Twp. Age 94. Beloved wife of the late Joseph. Devoted mother of Linda Scafisi (Joseph), Rebecca Carlone, and the late Debra Morrotto. Loving grandmother of Melissa, Joseph Jr., Vincent, Christina, Alisa, and the late Michael. Proud great-grandmother of Shane, James, Joseph III, and Remi.  Dear sister of the late Louis, Anthony, Carmen, and Vera.

Anna was a proud mother of 3 girls who loved being a homemaker. She was an excellent cook who made meals 6 days a week. On Saturdays, she was the shopping queen and took her girls with her and always ended the day with dinner at a restaurant. Sunday was a day of worship and homemade spaghetti and meatballs. She loved to sew, knit, crochet, and garden. Roses were her favorite flower and she grew several varieties in her garden. She also had many indoor houseplants that grew because of her TLC. She always had a dog in the house and an aquarium full of fish. In her 60’s she and her husband started to take weekly bus trips to the casinos where she loved playing the slot machines. She will be remembered mostly for her sweetness, sense of humor and style with her love of jewelry, clothes, shoes, and handbags!

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday 10:30 – 12:00 PM at St. Charles Borromeo RC Church, 176 Stagecoach Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 12:15 PM. Interment Gloucester County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
