In Memory of My Life Long Wife, Partner, and Friend-Ann
Ann was deeply caring, compassionate, charitable, forgiving, and loving. She was never too busy to care, listen, understand, and console. She was never too busy to answer a need, demonstrate her concern with an unselfish deed, or to offer a comforting hand, even if it meant she had to make a personal sacrifice. She was never too busy to spread goodwill with a warm and personal touch and never too busy to try to impart joy into the hearts of others.
When we met in 1965, she was the Executive Assistant to the Manager of a relatively small Department of INA. By the time she relinquished her career, in 1970, she was the Executive Assistant to the President of one of INA’s largest and most prominent divisions. She was, rightfully so, very proud of her professional career achievements which were a direct result of her total commitment and dedication as well as her ongoing efforts to improve and enhance her capabilities.
She, unselfishly, relinquished her professional career in 1970 to devote herself to the responsibilities of Motherhood. She had the same commitment to these responsibilities as she had to her previous professional responsibilities. She embraced her role as wife & partner, as well as mother, educator, role model, and spiritual influencer on our children. She took on a very active role with the cub scouts as well as the Family Educators Council during our sons’ youth and years in elementary and middle school. She also took on a very active role as Sunday School Teacher at the Church where we attended services.
It wasn’t until our sons had reached the ages that she could do so, that she, once again, took on some professional responsibilities. She first held a part time administrative position with our sons’ pediatrician followed by the position of Assistant Municipal Clerk of Gloucester Township. During this chapter of her professional career, she resumed her total commitment and dedication to fulfilling her responsibilities as well as to continuously improving and enhancing her capabilities.
When Ann wasn’t fulfilling her professional and personal responsibilities, our favorite activities were dancing and dining out. We also thoroughly enjoyed entertaining and socializing with our many friends and family members. Ann was a very accomplished cook and prepared many excellent meals, of which she was, rightfully, quite proud.
During our marriage & partnership we have shared many pleasant as well as unpleasant, challenging experiences. Ann’s love & compassion have made it possible for us to get through the unpleasant, challenging experiences. The pleasures and joys of the pleasant experiences have been tremendously enhanced by having her to share them with.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation Wednesday March 10th, 9:30-11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN. 38105.
