After a valiant battle with cancer, Angelo Edward Masci of Washington Township peacefully slipped away on December 23, 2015 at the all-too-young age of 69. Dedicated husband and adoring father, Eddie is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Carcillo), and daughter, Leah Marie (Trask).
While an 18-year resident of Turnersville, Angelo was a South Philadelphia native whose heart resided in his North Wildwood shore home where he gave life to the dreams of his family for over 27 years.
Left behind to remember Eddie are his mother-in-law Helen; son-in-law Michael; brothers Robert and Richard; brothers-in-law Mark, Anthony and Ronny; and sisters-in-law Margaret “Sissy”, Eileen, Jenny, Rita Jean, and Brigitte. He was beloved by his many nieces and nephews: David, Lauren, Lucy, Toni, Louis, Jacob, Bianca, Melanie, Kristina and Karen. In life as in love, he made a habit of turning strangers into friends and friends into family.
All are invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday, December 30th from 9:30am-11:00am at Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road in Washington Township with a brief memorial service and Military Honors at 11:00am.
Special thanks are extended to Trina Poretta, DO, Carolyn Horowitz, MD, and the incredible team of Comprehensive Cancer & Hematology Specialists who aided in his battle against this horrible disease. Additionally, the family would like to express their immense gratitude for the team of Holy Redeemer Hospice who ensured the enduring comfort of both Angelo and his family throughout his final days.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Cancer Institute’s Gift Fund. If you wish to donate, you may send a check or money order payable to “The National Cancer Institute” and a letter indicating that the donation is to be used for NCI research to:
