On August 15, 2010, of Washington Twp. Age 66. Beloved husband of Christine G. nee Galbraith. Devoted father of Andrew R. Lazarchick, Jr., Robert V. Kovacsics, Jr. and Kimberly Ann Lazarchick. Loving grandfather of Joshua and Ashley Kovacsics. Dear brother of Josephine Joho Fred and James Lazarchick Maryann.

Andrew proudly served our country in combat as an officer in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday 7:00 – 9:00 pm and Saturday 10:30 – 11:30 am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral Service 11:30 am at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

I am sorry for your loss. I only knew Andy for 5 years. In that short time period he became a trusted friend. He will surely be missed by everyone he knew, he was a very special person.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Andy. He was an amazing man and lived a full and happy life. He was not only the kind of man people wanted to be, he was the kind of man people would be proud to be. A great Husband, Father, Grandfather, Colleague, and Friend. Andy always had a smile on his face and was an inspiration to Ashley and Joshua. Pop Pop will be greatly missed by Ashley and Joshua. I will miss the stories Andy told about his experiences in life and the exciting journey ahead. I distinctly remember the hot dog joint he took me to in Elizabeth. What an experience! He was always up for an adventure. He is guaranteed no losses as he joins Heaven above. He will watch over us all and we pray to be with him again one day. Chris, Kim, Drew, Rob, Shannon, and Ken, you are in my prayers.

Dear Tina and Family: Please accept our sympathy and condolences on the sudden passing of Andy. We had a great time visiting with you at your home last year. Andy revealed himself to be quite a raconteur and kept me regalled with many interesting stories, which I enjoyed. All of our love and prayers: Chris, Lorraine and Teasha.

Drew, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I only met your dad a few times but he made me feel right at home in his presence. My sympathy goes out to you and your family. Be thankful for all the loving memories.

My father helped shape the person I am today. I often wonder if he ever knew just how much influence he truly had on me. I will proudly live the rest of my life knowing he is watching my every move from a much better place. I will never know anyone like him, and am honored to say he was my dad. I was the next-door neighbor to the Lazarchick family in Primrose, PA., and was best buddy to Jimmy, Andy's older brother . I remember Andy as a very cheerful and friendly member of our gang, always ready to join in all of our many, various activities . To Andy's family, I can not express my sincere sympathy enough. I knew Andy from E'Port, went to Jefferson High School with him , picked him up to go to Newark Rutgers and we even went to OCS at Fort Sill together. He attended my wedding. I am just taken with his passing as I just learned of it on February 15, 2011. I will pray for him. He was was a friend, a true friend from the coal region of Pennsylvania. He was a very sociable and caring individual. I know that with his passing that he is tremendously missed by family and friends. Rest In Peace, Andy.

My stepfather Andy was more than just a "stepfahter" he was better to me and showed more love then my true father ever had. Only in the recent years did my respect for him grow. It is rare for a man to accept a woman with a child after divorce. However Andy not only took my mom into his life but me as well. He treated me like just like Drew his own son who he love and respected very much. I only hope I can be half the father to my own two children has Andy was to me. I love you dad.

Andy was there for me and Jonathan when Jim died. He said that he would truly miss Jim. Jonathan and I will truly miss Andy. Mr. Lazarchick was a man who would never judge anyone. He showed me a new way of looking at the world. He taught me how make the best of everything. How to never hold back when I'm trying to reach my goals. He took me into his heart with open arms and treated me like a son. He will always be in my heart!

Chris, Kimberly and family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Andy. I am unable to attend the services but wanted to relay my deepest sympathy for your loss. Having lived across the street, Andy and I got to know each other when we were comparing notes while working on the yard. After having gotten married and moving away I didn’t see Andy as often the last few years. We would catch up with each other when I visited my Mom. We happen to run into each other two weeks ago and talked. As it always did our 5 minute conversation lead to 10 minutes that lead to 30 minutes. :o Andy would always say my Dad Ken “was the nicest guy in the world”. I would like to return the same compliment to you both to say that I thought Andy was the nicest guy in the world.
