Amedeo Giambuzzi
November 12, 1943 – June 10, 2025
Amedeo Giambuzzi, only son of Lucy and Rudolph, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home in New Jersey on June 10, 2025, at the age of 81.
Born in South Philadelphia Amedeo spent 30 years working in a tailor shop in the city. He retired from the Washington Township School District where he was a custodian at Orchard Valley Middle School for 22 years. Aways taking pride in the work of his hands and the relationships he built along the way.
Amedeo is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda Giambuzzi; his children, Perry Giambuzzi (Angela), Stacy O’Hanlon (Joe), and Jason Giambuzzi (Bernadette); and his cherished grandchildren—Perry, Anthony, Bianca, Michael, Julian, and Nicholas; step-children Bret Rowand (Heidi) and Bradley Rowand; and step-grandson Bret Jr. – who all brought him endless joy and pride.
Amedeo had a special way of making people laugh—his humor, warmth, and quick wit brought joy to everyone around him. He had a certain charm and charisma about him. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing softball and riding horses. He loved watching baseball and football and never missed a chance to cheer on his grandchildren at their games and dance recitals. He treasured dinners with friends, time spent socializing, and enjoyed the companionship of his dogs (Alfie, Maggie, and Mocha), who were truly part of the family.
Amedeo will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to attend his graveside service Tuesday, June 17th 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Amedeo’s memory by spending time with your loved ones, just as he would have wanted.
