In Loving Memory of Amador Tabulog
July 17, 1936 – September 6, 2026
Amador Tabulog, 90, passed away peacefully at the hospital on Sunday, September 6, 2026. Born on July 17, 1936, in Aparri, Cagayan, Philippines, Amador lived a life defined by strength, hard work, devotion, and love for his family and friends.
Before coming to the United States in 1982, Amador worked as a boiler operator in the Philippines. After immigrating to America, he began a new chapter in his life and worked as a casino dealer for more than 30 years. Through every chapter of his life, he was known as a hardworking, responsible, and dependable man.
Amador was also a highly accomplished martial artist. He earned the rank of 5th Dan Master in Karate and Filipino Martial Arts, and he taught karate in the Philippines. His discipline, strength, and dedication to martial arts were an important part of who he was.
But above all of his accomplishments, Amador was a family man.
He was a gentle, loving, generous, and responsible father and a devoted and loyal husband to his beloved wife, Editha Tabulog. He is survived by his wife, Editha; his daughters, Geraldine Tabulog and Ginalyn Tabulog; his sister, Lirio Tabios; his brothers, Gerry Tabulog and Ernie Soliven; and his many beloved nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces.
One of the earliest and most cherished memories of Amador was from when his daughters were still little and their mother was working. He was a modern father in every sense of the word. He took care of his children by cooking their meals, cleaning the house, doing the laundry—by hand—and bathing them, always making sure they were clean, cared for, and fed. He did whatever was needed to take care of his family, and he did it with love.
Amador found joy in the simple things in life. He loved fishing and could spend countless hours enjoying it. He also loved to cook and was a wonderful cook, often bringing people together through food. He was sociable and loved gathering with family and friends. He enjoyed good company, good conversation, and most of all, making people laugh and smile.
As a friend, Amador was loyal and always ready to lend a helping hand whenever someone needed him. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a way of bringing laughter into a room. He was hardworking and generous, with a big heart. And, as his family will lovingly remember, he could certainly be stubborn when he wanted to be—a quality that was simply part of the man everyone knew and loved.
Amador leaves behind a lifetime of memories that cannot be captured in words. There are countless stories, moments, meals, fishing trips, conversations, jokes, and family gatherings that his loved ones will carry with them forever.
He was deeply loved by his family and friends, and his absence will be felt every day. His kindness, laughter, strength, generosity, and unwavering love for his family will remain in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Amador was preceded in death by his mother, Victoria Costales; his father, Tomas Tabulog, his step-mother Victoria Soliven, his brother, Benigno Tabulog, and his half-siblings, Rudy Tabloug, Erlinda Taledo, Benvinida Lising, and Carlito Tabulog.
Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the memories he created will live on forever.
Rest peacefully, Dad. You were deeply loved, and you will be greatly missed.
