Ms. Gordon was my teacher many years ago and I have fond memories of being in her class. She was a very kind and patient teacher, and when I learned of her passing I was completely shocked and saddened. Despite my young age at the time of her teaching, I always admired and learned from her. She played a crucial role in my development as a person, and for that I will always remember her. On this day I send my condolences to her family. ❤️

Our twins (now in 6th grade) were lucky enough to have had Alison as their teacher, and she remains a "favorite" of theirs to this day! Teaching was clearly not just a job but a "calling" for her. Alison went above and beyond in so many ways and poured her heart into each class she taught. She has no doubt had an impact on countless numbers of children and families, and our family will always remember her fondly and with gratitude. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family.

Wendy Gosfield left a message on February 16, 2022:
Thank you for sharing Alison with us at Greenfield School. Her beautiful smile, her warmth, her confidence made the children feel welcome & cared for. From her first day with us, when my son was lucky enough to be in her class, I knew immediately that he was in good hands. She was a gifted teacher. May the memory of her be a blessing to you and to all of us whose lives she enriched.
The Temme and Zibelman Family left a message on February 15, 2022:
Mrs. Gordon was loved by her students as much as her students were loved by her. We were so lucky that two of our children had the privilege of knowing her not only as their teacher, but also as their friend. From the “ready confetti” that she sent each child to sprinkle under their pillow to before the first day of kindergarten, to the beautiful individualized photo albums she gave each student on graduation day, Mrs. Gordon poured every ounce of her heart into helping her students feel loved and appreciated. She taught with a firm, yet caring presence that garnered respect from all her students. She recognized our children’s unique gifts and very different learning styles, and helped each shine in their own special way. When our son’s in-person kindergarten year got cut short by the pandemic, Mrs. Gordon continued to log onto zoom every Friday that summer, just to spend more time with her students. Just as she wasn’t ready to say goodbye to her class that summer, we will never be ready to say goodbye to her. But we know that we were so lucky to have her in our lives for the time that we were given together. Her kind heart will live on in the countless lives she touched.

Linda and I adored Mrs. Gordon. Our granddaughter started kindergarten at Greenfield after having “graduated” from the perpetual warmth and comfort of her nursery school. Initially, she was very stressed and unhappy. Shortly after the school year began, as we were walking home, she stopped and said, “Please tell Mommy and Daddy, ‘No more Greenfield’”. I said I would but only after one more week, and she had to find at least one thing she really liked. She agreed. After a week, I asked her how things were going. Looking ahead, she smiled and said, “I just love Mrs. Gordon”. She never complained about going to school again.

Mrs Gordon was the brightest light of our daughter's kindergarten year - she was in class with Mrs Gordon in 2019-20. The confidence and passion that she instilled in countless students was immediate and profound. Our daughter, Grayson, lit up everytime she walked toward school awaiting her day with Mrs Gordon. Thank you for your patience, caring and selfless dedication to thousands of young children. Your life meant so much to so so many. Our sincere condolences, The Worster Family

Mrs. Gordon was my kindergarten teacher, and she was my favorite teacher ever. She had amazing talent when it came to teaching. I learnt so much from her 3 years ago. I will always remember how she cared about her students, and honestly loved teaching. I will always keep the memory book with a poem at the end, with a photo of her that she gave to me at the end of the year.
