Al soo sorry that you are no longer with your family & friends. You were the best while my 1st husband came to work with you @ Caddy in 1968 as a truck driver. I'm sure you were the one that hired him. Many moons ago. You were always so kind to me also. If we all could live forever as young as we was back then. I'm sure you are getting some long needed rest. All our love from my children & myself. Without you Jack would have never had that great job driving Caddy equipment across the country to provide for his family 18 years plus. Thanks for all you did. Gwen Matteis Lents.

Your son Al is a son I'm sure you watch from above what a wonderful man he is. I feel he takes care of his mom to carry on for you protecting her making sure shes ok. Sorry you had to leave your friends family they lived you so

My Big Brother, This One's For You! I know you were looking down from above and saw all the wonderful people who attended your viewing and funeral. I was in awe! There must have been close to 400 people who's lives you touched! Your eulogy from Al Jr. was so beautiful, as you know! I told Sandy and the kid's to cherish all the precious memories of you, this is what I will do, also! There were 6 of us kids, 9 years between you and I! I remember a selfless big brother who worked so hard to help his mom and dad buy nice school clothes for his younger siblings, and give his siblings such memorable Christmases! I remember all the lovely Christmas gifts you gave me, even if you didn't get many in return! I remember you never complaining if I needed a ride somewhere. I remember when I was around 8 you gave me my 1st job, polishing your shoes for $.50 a pop! I was so thrilled to get that money, I couldn't wait to polish your shoes again and again! I also remember all my friends telling me how nice and cute my brother was, and how proud I was when you became a U.S. Marine! As we grew older so did the closeness of our family! Thank You Al for being the best Big Brother a Little Sister could ever have! RIP Love You, Sandra

I can't begin to express the sadness I have for the loss of my Godfather, Uncle Al. He was always a great part of my life growing up and had set a great example to follow. The family gatherings is what I miss most. The special gifts I would receive. I remember receiving the gift of my first weight set at age 15 which got my all started in that and still doing today. I can't thank you enough Uncle Al for the great memories of my younger years. Heaven has gained a great Angel who will watch over and pray for us all. I love you.

Al, My Best Friend, My Husband, My Love, My Baby - This just doesn’t seem real. I keep waiting for a phone to ring to hear your voice. I miss you so !!!!! Who would ever think a “blind date” would lead to 55 years of marriage. Thank you is so understated for the gratefulness I have for you. Through the years you gave me all I asked for plus- our three beautiful children, a home so far past my dreams. From the age of 15 til now you looked after me. Even to the end when you asked me to call Al Jr at 10:00 PM to visit you. You really wanted Jr. to be there for me so I would not be alone in the hours ahead til you left us. I am not so sure I gave you as much in return. Please know I truly loved you. Forgive me for my lack of patience in the last 4 months- I just wanted my Baby to come back to me . Of course God had different plans. I know I am not alone- the children, grandchildren and Kenny Sr. Are there for me as well as your sisters (my sisters) and of course our Great Neighbors! I will do my best to carry on but long for the day I will be reunited with you. I love you “My Baby” and always will! Your Wife, Sandy

Sandy, not only have you lost your "soul mate", many of us have lost a great friend. I know you and the children have heartbreak now, but you will remember ALL of the great times Al was with you. I know that I will miss him. When he and his family moved from Swedesboro to Camden , in 1952, we became immediate friends. I was fortunate to be the "best man" in your wedding, and lucky enough to have him as the best man in my marriage to Margie. I could go on for a good while remembering our childhood through today. I will miss him dearly. Jimmy

My Poppop. My Best Friend. My Guardian Angel. I honestly have no words right now i just know you’re not suffering anymore and you’re at peace. I am so thankful to have had the bond that we did. From us driving up the curbs at Dunkin Donuts, to making me laugh so hard i would almost pee my pants, to you trying to catch shrimp in your mouth at iron moto and you did once, dollar store trips where you would tell me my limit is $15 and I’d spend $25, the list goes on and on. I couldn’t be more thankful to have had such an amazing role model to look up too. You have helped mold me into the woman that i am today. You have shown me how a woman should be treated and I know you trust John and that’s why you feel comfortable. Please shine down on all of us, I know you’ll be there taking pictures as always especially during the holidays. We will take extra care of Mommom, don’t worry. I love you my best friend and poppop. ??❤️ R.I.P. my guardian angel?❤️
