On August 25, 2010, of Washington Twp. Age 58. Beloved husband of Bernadette nee Panzarella. Devoted father of Susan DiMattia and Michelle Franchi and her husband Joseph. Dear son of Florence nee Dougherty and the late Alfred, Sr. Loving grandfather of Lydia, Corrinn, Anna-Lucia, Bella-Rose, Joseph, Joshua and Jacob. Dear brother of Dennis Dowell and Lynda Garrett.

Most importantly, Alfred loved spending time with friends and family. He also enjoyed model airplanes, woodworking, flea markets, auto racing, and vacationing in Hawaii and Italy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Tuesday 9:00 – 11:00 am followed by his Celebration of Life 11:00 am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Alfred’s memory to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.

To Bernadette, Aunt Florance. Lynda, Dennis and the families: Our deepest condolances for the loss of Al. It is so hard to lose a loved one, especially one so special. Our hearts go out to you, we have many fond memories of Al especially during our childhood years.

Dear Bern & Family; We have known Al for some 38 yrs, all of which we will cherish. Carol & I have been touched, in a special way, by knowing & loving Al. After I thought about what I could take with me for the rest of my life that I learned from Al, it came to me that this man had a unique ability to understand mechanics. He was brilliant when it came to fixing & repairing anything mechanical. If ever I had a ?, he had the answer on how to fix it. That is what I will take with me through the rest of my life. My last words to Al were, "Where ever it is your going, keep your ears open, when you hear that I am in town, look me up." Dear Bern, Your husband Al was a very special person~ someone who brought much love, laughter, and warmth to the world. We know how much he loved you, his children, and his grandchildren and how hard it was for him to leave you. We have wonderful memories of us antiquing together. My heart breaks for you, Bern, and your entire family. Al was just in our home a few months ago. He was so happy and exuded warmth and love. He had the magic touch with the baby! He spoke so lovingly of you, Bernadette. I promised him if anything should ever happen to him, I would be there to take care of you in any way I could. I hope you know I'm here and waiting for your call. I love you and pray for you and your family. Al is taking care of your mom now and they're looking down on you with pride.
