Alfred F. Tenuto, Sr.
On May 25, 2021 of Washington Twp. Age 87. Beloved husband of Rosetta (nee Bosio). Devoted father of Pamala Draper (Matthew), and Alfred Tenuto, Jr. Loving grandfather of Matthew, Victoria, Luca, and Phoebe. Loved by nieces and nephews.
Alfred was the youngest of nine children from a proud and colorful family in South Philadelphia. He understood the value of hard work and family from a very young age. Similar to his brothers, he served in the US Army and following his discharge from service, he married the love of his life and created his own successful branch of the Tenuto family.
For much of his life he worked multiple jobs each day; culminating that work ethic into a successful HVAC business that created significant opportunities for his children and grandchildren. Although Alfred did not have a formal education, he had a keen intellect and always knew how a book or movie would end much sooner than the rest of the crowd. His faith was unwavering; while never judging or preaching, he quietly followed the teachings of the Catholic Church.
His deep and hearty laugh was infectious. To know Alfred was to love Alfred, Al or Big Al. Whether he was at the casino, watching his beloved Eagles, or during the Feast of Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve, he made everyone around him comfortable and part of the action.
Alfred was a kind and beautiful person that will be sorely missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Tuesday 9:30-10:30 AM at the Church of The Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:45 AM. Entombment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Alfred’s memory may be made to The Ronald McDonald House of Central and Northern, NJ, 131 S. Bath Ave., Long Branch, NJ 07740. Rmh-cnj.org
