Albert Durso, on March 4, 2020 of Washington Twp. Age 87. Beloved husband of the late Madeline (nee Ford). Devoted father of Albert J. (Joann), Thomas G. (Timothy Colfer), William, Christine (the late Nicholas) and the late Bunny Durso. Loving pop-pop of Nicholas and Kayla. Dear brother of the late Bob Homan, Frank Durso, and Eddie Durso.
Al, a former Marine and Philadelphia Police Officer, was a true family man. He loved nothing more than sitting with his family playing cards, Sunday dinners were especially fun. The whole family gathered and waited as Dad way always the last to finish eating. (God bless him. He can eat!)
There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his kids; helping deliver papers during bad weather, carrying Bunny across the beach, side-line coaching baseball games. (whether you liked it or not!) No one won more stuffed animals at the Wildwood Boardwalk!
Al was also an avid fisherman and hunter. Every November was an adventure as he got lost on the way to the hunting camp.
Hoping you and mom are jitterbugging in Heaven. We’ll miss you.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday 8:30-10:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo RC Church, 176 Stagecoach Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:15 am. Interment, Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
