Albert played a major part of all things good in my life. His ability to make people happy through his bakery was a legacy. I saw how much of an influence he played in his nephew's life Dave C. and the values he instilled. Condolences to his close knit family and his friends. Be at Peace..
Dear Irene and Family-I'm so sad to hear of Ricci's passing. He was always such a pleasant man when I went to buy bread which the bread never made it home. He will be greatly missed.
Mr Ricci, thank you for your years of service to our community. Who would have thought bread could bring joy and excitement to people's lives? Who would have thought bread was worth standing in rain for? You made us happy and brought families together for pasta nights all over! I'll never forget growing up across the street on the corner and enjoying the smell of baking bread for 18 years. And thank you for the free loafs when I was home visiting from the Marines. We all miss you friend!
RIP Mr. Ricci. Ricci bread stopped along with your heart. Thank you so much for making family dinners the best memory the kids of Glassboro will forever have. You were a Glassboro icon and we will never forget your labor of love. We pray your family will be comforted with so many of our memories....
Thanks for the memories Mr. Ricci.
Such a nice man and a wonderful bakery, no other bakery will ever match it. O the smell of that fresh baked bread, I always bought a extra loaf just for the walk home. His Bakery and his smile will always be a part of the Glassboro history! Truely the BEST of the BEST. God Bless Mr. Ricci
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Since moving out of Glassboro, Ricci's bread is the first thing I think of when ever I come back to town. Growing up, the echo of you Shouting, "Baker" in the front door, always caused a mad dash through the house to see who was going to get the first bite. Your bread, just like you was a staple in most of our childhood lives. Spaghetti will never be the same! You will be missed. Prayers to you and your family. The Riiff Family
To Mr. Ricci's family:
I am so sorry for your loss. I grew up across the street from Ricci's bakery. Our family LOVED the smell of his bread. He was always so good to us. We never had to wait in line, he always let us cut up to the front for our bread. I recently brought my husband back to see where I grew up and the smell of Ricci's bread filled the air, giving me so many good memories. I stopped in to say hello, assuming he wouldn't remember me. He was so busy so I wrote a note to say hello and who I was. i could tell he eventually recognized me and I gave him a hug. He smiled and gave me some bread. My whole family enjoyed it that night. What a nostalgic night we all had from the taste of that perfect bread. He will be missed by all of us.
My brother Rob introduced me to ricci rolls and bread when i moved back to pitman a few years back, what a labor of love. May you Rest in Peace.
Such fond memories of Mr. Ricci. Love from the Dalton Family
To all the family:

We are sorry for your loss. My family and I always enjoyed "man bread" this was our name for him- my kids were toddler's when we first bought his bread and they just associated him with our yummy bread- they would eat 1/2 the loaf before we got home! We have missed seeing him and a tradition has officially come to an end for us. Thanks to "man bread" for giving my kids an example of hard work at any age!
Our thoughts go out to your family. Mr. Ricci was "a piece of Glassboro" that will never be forgotten.
I have many fond memories of the bakery over the years and how sweet Mr. Ricci was when we stopped in. He will be baking for the angels in Heaven! God Bless!
To Irene, Mrs. Lustinia, and the rest of the family I send my sincere condolences. Of course I remember Mr. Ricci delivering bread while we were watching "All in the Family" and laughing in front of the TV. An I saw him visiting across the street and could say "Hello!" as an adult. May he rest in peace.
Albert Ricci served our family for five generations. He was so proud of his bread. I will always remember standing in line with other anxious customers listening to Frank Sinatra and thinking about how good the ends would taste on the way home. Albert, thanks for the memories and Ricci's bread.....the BEST ever.
Known Ricci my entire life, hardest worker I ever met. Old School and proud of it. Besides the greatest bread and rolls in the world, a great man in all phases of life.
To all Ricci family members: Albert
and I worked on the farms together.
My wife, Roseanne stopped in to say "hello" when she visited Enio at Manor Care last fall.
He remembered her coming in to buy
bread
My brother Enio, my sister Mary of
Waycross, Georgia and I shall always remember his great sense of
humor. Last year, we laughed about
World War,11 days...when we used to collect cardboard boxes and
scrap iron. Al always managed to out-do me when we weighed our stuff.
My family will always remember him.

We just called him 'Ricci'He delivered rolls & was a friend to the extended Hughes family of Clayton,NJ for over 50 years. He will be missed!
Ricci, We are surley going to miss you. I was introduced to your rolls 50 years ago, when we ordered them for sndwiches for our wedding. You served the Hughes family rolls for 64 years. My youngest child Robin broke in her 1st tooth on your rolls. You always made her a roll to fit into her hand. I thank you for that and we will miss you at all our functions. May God hold you like we treasured you. You will be surley missed around us.
Ricci knew me since the day I was born. I will always remember his sweet disposition and the love and support he showed my grandmother, Bertha.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
My Uncle lived a life of baking. My earliest memories are of the great mixing machine in the old building that was Ricci's Bakery. Albert was there every day,
didn't matter what was going on with the world, Ricci's Bread would be made fresh and ready. The loss of my Uncle Albert is a loss to the entire community surrounding Glassboro, the bread was unique to the Man. He lived a long life, He was Loved by many, and found memories of the man and his bread will last forever.
I have known Ricci my whole life, then when I married my husband he came to know him also. I remember him bringing rolls to my grandparents house. He was a kind man and a loving companion to my Grandmom. He will be greatly missed by many people
Ricci had a long and wonderful life and shared his last years with the woman of his dreams. RIP you will missed.
My brother in law, Albert was a kind and gentle man. He loved his nieces and nephews. He worked hard in the bakery, but he always made time to go fishing with his friends and work in his garden that he loved so much. He was so proud of his large tomatoes that he shared with family and friends. He was most happy when he was with Bertha, his faithful companion of many years. We love you, Albert. Until we meet again.
Love, Alfred and Sondra Ricci Jr.

We went to Ricci's every week to stock up on rolls. I'll always remember the smell of the fresh rolls and bread baking. Sometimes I would go in the afternoon and he would be sitting in a chair dozing off and waiting for the customers to buy the remainder of his wonderful baked goods. I admired his tomatoes growing so beautifully in the summer. I asked him if he would sell them and he said he grew them to give to his family and friends. When the store closed I prayed for him hoping that the next time I drove by I would see shop opened. Sadly I saw the black drape over the store sign and I knew that he probably passed away. I didn't know any details of him or his life until I looked up his obituary. I and my family will always remember him and the wonderful contribution he made to the surrounding community with his freshly made goodies. God Bless his family. We were all blessed to have such a dedicated, hard working man in our lives.
Sorry, I had just found out I should have known when the phone was shut down.
I am just wanted you to know as a customer we shared some very nice conversation. I first met Mr. Ricci I didn't know about ordering in advance I walked in and he asked sternly do you have an order? I answered no sir, but he still had a loaf for me and I knew from then on to order first. He almost scared me off, but was a very friendly man after that first day. The best bread in the world made from a great guy! God Bless you bread man Dave
We lived in Glassboro for all of my childhood. My dad, Gregory F. Ryan would always make sure he ordered the bread and rolls ahead of time to make sure he got them. Mr. Ricci would never sell your baked goods out from under you, but if you ordered them and forgot to pick them up he would never take your order again, which was only right, my brother found that out the hard way. My Dad never forgot. Dad would make his homemade subs on Sunday with Ricci rolls & Mazzio's Deli lunchmeats, they were amazing.
It deeply saddens me of Mr. Ricci's passing. We still talk about Ricci's and how wonderful his rolls were, they were made with sacred hands. My husband and I would come from DE to get dozens of rolls and bread to put in our freezer and to take to my father & mother who moved out of town. Like everyone else, we would eat almost a whole loaf by the time we got home. My sincere condolences to his companion and all the family.
Some of my fondest memories were waiting in line for fresh baked bread at Ricci's Bakery. I grew up in Glassboro and Mr. Ricci made the best bread. My Grandfather, Cosey Di Benedetto and my Dad Ted Figarola would take me there to pick up a loaf for dinner or their weekly order. Rarely did we get home without eating half the loaf. You will be missed.
Please accept our deepest condolences for your family's loss.
